DAVE THE DIVER places players in control of Dave, a professional diver exploring the mysterious Blue Hole. During the day, gameplay focuses on deep-sea exploration, fishing, and resource gathering. In the evening, the focus shifts to managing a sushi restaurant. Players are responsible for preparing and serving sushi dishes using the day's catch. This involves menu management, hiring and training staff, and upgrading the restaurant to attract more customers and increase profits. Successful restaurant operations provide funds for purchasing better diving gear, improving Dave's abilities, and further exploring the Blue Hole. The game features a pixel-art aesthetic for its character sprites and a more detailed, illustrative style for the underwater environments. Story progression unfolds through interactions with quirky characters and discovering the secrets of the Blue Hole.
