Daymare: 1998 is a third-person survival horror game with a focus on lore and inventory management. The narrative unfolds through the perspectives of multiple characters, including an elite soldier, a helicopter pilot, and a forest ranger, each experiencing a concurrent incident within the game world. The gameplay incorporates classic survival horror elements. Players are required to manage a limited inventory, utilizing a system that prioritizes strategic item selection. Environmental puzzles are integrated into the progression, often requiring interaction with the surroundings to advance. Combat encounters feature various enemy types with distinct behaviors, necessitating adaptable tactics. The game tracks specific character data through a device called the D.I.D., which provides real-time updates on health, ammunition, and other vital statistics. Documents and environmental details contribute to the game's overarching narrative and provide context to the unfolding events. The game emphasizes a return to the thematic and mechanical foundations of 1990s survival horror titles, including resource scarcity and atmospheric tension. * Genre: Survival Horror * Perspective: Third-person * Key Features:
