DayZ for Xbox One is a persistent, open-world survival game set in the post-apocalyptic region of Chernarus, a fictional Eastern European country. Players are thrust into a harsh environment with the primary objective of survival against various threats, including the infected, other players, and the elements themselves. The game features a large, explorable map covering 230 square kilometers, comprised of dense forests, abandoned towns, and industrial areas. Gameplay emphasizes player-driven experiences with no overarching narrative or defined objectives beyond survival. Players begin with minimal equipment and must scavenge for resources such as food, water, weapons, ammunition, and medical supplies.
