Star Wars Republic Commando is a first-person tactical shooter developed by LucasArts. The narrative is set during the Clone Wars, bridging the events between Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones and Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith.

• Squad-Based Tactical Gameplay

  Players command a squad of three AI-controlled clone commandos: Fixer (slicer/tech expert), Scorch (explosives expert), and Sev (sniper). Orders can be issued contextually via a single command key, allowing for actions such as setting up sniper positions, detonating charges, breaching doors, or focusing fire on specific targets. The squad AI is designed to adapt to battlefield conditions and player commands.

• Weaponry and Equipment

  The primary weapon is the DC-17m Interchangeable Weapon System, which can transform into a blaster rifle, sniper rifle, or anti-armor attachment. Additional weapons include the DC-15s blaster pistol, various blaster rifles, shotguns, and rocket launchers encountered throughout missions. Grenade types include thermal detonators, EMP grenades, and flash grenades. Visor modes offer tactical advantages, such as night vision and an anti-armor scanner.

• Campaign Structure

  The single-player campaign consists of 13 missions spread across three main acts: Geonosis, the Prosecutor (a derelict Republic assault ship), and Kashyyyk. Each act presents distinct environments and enemy types, requiring different tactical approaches.

• Enemy Variety

  Combatants encountered include various types of Battle Droids (B1, B2 Super, Droidekas), Geonosians, Trandoshans, and other hostile creatures and droids specific to the game's locations.
