This product is an Xbox Live digital key for *Wizardry: Proving Grounds of the Mad Overlord*, playable on Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S consoles. The key is region-locked and can only be redeemed and played in Europe. *Wizardry: Proving Grounds of the Mad Overlord* is a dungeon-crawling role-playing game. Players create a party of up to six adventurers from a selection of character classes and races. Character classes include Fighters, Mages, Priests, Thieves, Bishops, Samurais, Lords, and Ninjas. Available races are Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Gnomes, and Hobbits. The primary objective involves exploring the ten-level Labyrinth of Trebor and defeating the evil wizard Werdna, who stole an amulet from the benevolent overlord Trebor. Gameplay features include: * First-person, grid-based movement: Navigation through the labyrinth occurs in a tile-by-tile manner. * Turn-based combat: Encounters with various monsters are resolved through strategic, turn-based command inputs. * Character progression: Adventurers gain experience points through combat, allowing them to level up and improve their statistics and abilities. * Loot acquisition: Defeated enemies and found chests may yield weapons, armor, and magical items. * Perma-death: Characters can be permanently lost if not revived in time, adding a layer of strategic risk. * Stat-based system: Character actions and outcomes are determined by their attributes (e.g., Strength, IQ, Piety) and equipped gear. This version of the game is a modern reimagining, maintaining the core mechanics and challenge of the original 1981 title. The game features updated 3D graphics and sound while preserving the classic gameplay loop. It does not include multiplayer components.
